Any tangible plans beyond "HOPE" to deal with the high cost of energy? Please STAR this question if you want as many voters to answer this as possible. OBAMA has essentially said he will ONLY support drilling if there is a massive tax on oil, which would eliminate the oil price drop incentive---it is a plain-as-day poison pill designed to prevent a vote from winning. Republicans should ram this down Democrats throat if they refuse to unconditionally lift the ban on more offshore drilling. I have no problem if its tied to more money for renewable (i.e not ethanol, i.e. poor people have a tough enough time with the high price of oil---we don't need to continue raising the price of food on them too). But WATCHOUT for Dems that will increase the conditions on lifting the ban to an untenable level---make no mistake Democrats LIKE the high cost of oil----its what the Sierra Club has hoped for since their inception.
